Katherine Heigl, the actress of "Grey's Anatomy," has herself about her experience of being raised in a "white bubble" and how the revelation has affected the way she raises her multiracial adopted children. She was in the movie "Firefly Lane" spoke to a reporter that it was not important what color her skin was to her. But after having a conversation with her adopted Korean American older sister, she realised the distinction in the way people treated her and her. "I inquired of Meg whether she felt that she was treated differently when going out with our parents and those who went out on her own. She replied "Oh Yes, all the moment!" Heigl said to her parents: "That was when I realized that my naivety had made me feel." She admitted to becoming upset, but she felt that she had use that anger to aid the adopted children she has. Heigl has a four year old son and a 13-year-old husband, Josh Kelley. In 2009, they adopted Nancy Leigh (12), a daughter of South Korea, and Adalaide (8 an African-American child) in 2012.
