Jennifer Garner was originally born in Houston Texas on April 17th in 1972. She was raised however at Charleston West Virginia. William John Garner was her father and a chemical engineering for Union Carbide. Patricia Ann Garner, the mother of Patricia Ann, taught at the local college. To follow in the footsteps of her father she earned a degree as a chemical engineer. Then she moved into New York in order to pursue her dream of becoming an actor. Her Broadway roles were accompanied by a stint at a local establishment. The TV show "Felicity," she had a small cameo. (It was on this show that she got to know their husband Scott Foley. Garner was first seen in Alias, an action thriller. Her first big role was the widely-praised romantic comedy 13 Going on 30. She played a teenager trapped inside a 30+ year old's body. Garner decided to choose Gary Winick to direct the film, and they continued to look for other projects together until his death in 2011. in 2009 Garner became an artist ambassador for Save the Children U.S.A. The job entails the promotion of national nutritional literacy, education and early education. In 2014, Garner has been a part of the board of trustees for this organization, pushing for early elementary education. Garner has visited many families as part of Early Steps to School Success which is a program that aims for parents to learn how they can support their children's education - acting as an ambassador.
